Hey all. I already explained a bit in the Easter lilies thread. The egg coloring. Our customs... are more or less barbarian. We still kill lots of lambs. This lamb is important! We usually make "drob" with all the insides (heart, lungs, kidneys, etc) - hard to explain (google "drob miel") Of course lots of cakes and a traditional pastry called (cozonac) rolled with either poppy seeds or walnuts or sometimes turkish delights. At midnight there's going to church, light candles, listen to the priest, and so on. The next day is family visiting, eating and so on. Kids used to go from door to door with small perfume bottles and "sprinkle" the girls/young women and they get colored eggs and cakes in return. Yet this custom is not so much popular anymore Guess kids just prefer to stay at home on their computers I remember I used to get soo many different colored eggs... and cakes!
