These ducke have to be the greatest of ducks, especially the male. Saw 8 today. I'd hate to tell you have many pictures I took.

They are so beautiful they almost don't look real. I would have taken as many pics as I could.

Yes, but I took over 400. I did delete a lot when I got home though.

Kildale -- good to see you, first of all. Next -- wow... the wood ducks are so special, like they are painted. Just beautiful creatures. Thank you, thank you. They're such a treat to see.

Will only be here for a day or two as I'm off to Hawaii on Wed. Going on a cruise around the Islands.

Gorgeous photos...I have only seen them through your lens. I can believe you took 400. When I click away when the birds are in site, they are so fast...get many tails, and blank images :D . Have a wonderful cruise around the islands. You surely will see some different birds there and hopefully you will share them when you get back.

Isn't nature wonderful when she produces such a variety of colours all in one male bird? The female is beautiful too with that white eye surround and the pair compliment each other perfectly.

Have a wonderful time visiting the Hawiian islands Kildale. we'll miss you while you're gone but I hope you'll bring back masses of photographs for us all to see.

I was wondering today where you were Kildale. Thanks for sharing photos of my favorite duck. I don't think I will ever forget seeing a pair nesting high up in a tree hole. Have fun on the cruise and be sure and bring back more of your wonderful photos. ;)
