We haven't had woodpeckers for a while, but yesterday this Red Bellied woodpecker came to the ashe juniper and showed off his colors.

That is a really good foto of that woodpecker.
Do you think that he will hang around for a time?

I haven't seen our woodpeckers for quite some time. Maybe they'll appear soon now that the weather is getting colder.

We also have a woodpecker type who lives in an old tree in the lottie near us. I wonder if more folks have woodpeckers in their gardens. Our type is the great spotted woodpecker.

Sjoerd, I think the woodpecker is going to hang around! We saw him yesterday and I heard him this morning on my way to the barn--couldn't spot him but since no one around here has a jackhammer, I'm sure it was the woodpecker.:)
