So far only the yellow ones are blooming, I know there are a couple of purple Iris in one of these beds...somewhere....I hope. This is the best showing of these Iris I have every had, obviously they love where they are planted.

There are more buds coming along behind the birdbath.

Those are blue Pansies in the wheelbarrow still looking good and the Scabiosa on the left has a couple of buds forming. I need to divide it before it really starts blooming.

Lovely iris, Toni. I like the yellow lip and the white top, it draws the eye. What kind of iris are they?

I long ago lost the information from the package they came in but I think they might be Dutch Iris?

Those Dutch iris seem to do well in your climate. It's amazing. They do well here too, but I've only got blue ones. I really need to get some other colours this autumn. I like the ones you've got there, so I'll see if any of our bulb traders will offer them. If I can remember come fall.

That is beautiful Toni, I cannot wait for our soil to cool down a bit so I can also put in some bulbs. I am envious. That Scabiosa is lovely.

I really like the contrast between the blue of the pansies and the yellow and white of the iris Toni. My iris are way behind yours as they are only about six inches high at the moment so it's lovely to see yours flowering so well. :stew1:

Very nice Toni. On your pictures it all depends on how the sun is hitting on your subject. Try taking some at a different time of day and go for different angles. I always take a handful at a time of a subject and then pick out the best. I think it didn't show the true beauty of the iris because the sun was so bright and kind of reflective. I am not positive if that is it because I am just a beginner too. Also sometimes the lighter the subject the worse they show up.

What a pretty Iris, Toni. That scabiosa looks pretty healthy as well. Your garden is looking quite nice. It's nice to see that the waters have receded.,,it was beginning to look like Venice. ;)
It is really good to see how your garden is progressing.
A few more pics would always be appreciated, as ypou have such nice plants.

ooooOOOOOoooo!!!! I just bought some violas, I can see i must search for a grotty old wheelbarrow to turn into a planter.
I've always wanted to live by a pond, so I could grow those bright yellow ones that like to be in the shallow water, but I think I like those yellow-and-white ones better, so cheery!
