I have a HEAVY roll of yellow plastic - not sure of thickness, but you have to cut it with scissors. Anyway, I want to start a greenhouse and was wondering if it would be okay to use for my covering? I hate to have to buy plastic when I already have this. will the yellow affect the plants adversely?

You could try an old photographic light meter(eBay). Its been too long to help you with interpreting the readings though. John

thanks for the advice. I never thought of a light meter - pretty silly not to have thought of it, but I guess that's why we have a forum. Just remember if your not young, green and growing you get old ripe and rotten (whatever your age)
