    Thanks @Sjoerd. I have plenty of lime. I filled those raised beds with bagged soil so that slime was hibernating in the bags, evidently. You just can't get good bagged soil anymore ;

    I agree, I do not use it at all. I do use seeding grit. I use my own compost and leaf mould. I really hope you can take control of this.

    The thing is, bringing the pH up with the lime is not ideal for strawbs…that is why you will need to move your bedding site. Do you know what I am saying here?

    Yes, I have miacle brow acid fertilizer so, if I remove the slime and the use the Miracid, it should be ok.
