    Hi,

I live in a 42 square meter, one-room apartment in Yokohama.
I am trying to make the best out of the space. Having only one room makes it a bit hard to place the furniture right.

Does anybody have any clues on how to use the space in this apartment most efficiently?

What is that on the wall opposite your desk? Can it be moved? The black shape across from the sofa is your TV? Do you do a lot of TV watching from your bed?

I have a couple of ideas but need the above information first. ;)

It looks like the thing is a piano or a keyboard? The blueprint also looks like there is no window in that room. It's okay as is, but if it doesn't obstruct any window, I would suggest moving it to the side, have some kind of decor on the wall, and even mirrors to bring out the space a bit more.

Also, do you have a dining table? If not, any chance you can move the sofa perpendicular to the bed, facing the kitchen, and the TV against the wall separating the kitchen from the rest of the room?
