I made a batch of dog food for Rufus and a batch of lunches for me. I could just eat his - they are chicken, veggies, rice - but I'm vegetarian. Mine are rice, scrambled egg, veggies. Now there is a week supply of quick lunches.

That's it for today. Back is improving but still needs ice packs.

I prefer a hot shower to sort my back out - don't think I could cope with ice treatment .......
Snap with the dog dinners - took some chicken/veg/noodles out for Tinker this morning, and couldn't resist just a little taster myself. I am a reticent veggie person since I met Ziggy, and just couldn't resist as it smelt so good.

Daniel, so glad to hear your back is improving:like:. Ice packs work--I kept one in the freezer when I tore a ligament in my knee. The doctor told me "elevation and ice packs" and it worked a treat. I hope your ice packs do, too.
Tetters, we are eating less meat lately, but not going vegetarian (don't get between me and ham!). We are lucky to have a lot of home grown vegetables, and if you grow it, you don't waste it!

Tetters we eat less meat but won't change altogether.
Daniel glad that your back is getting better, on and off I have problems with my back, I used to use one of those TENS machines that give a pulse of electrical stimulation, it eases the pain and I could carry on with life but gently.

My back gives me trouble now too. I've been pondering how I could garden upwards this summer, ie, trellises, highbush blueberry bushes, etc

Now you’re talking sense. Many species have taller varieties, so you have good choices to make. Tell more about your upcoming choices. Now is the time to make those choices.

I was told a long time ago that I have a disc problem in the middle of my back and that I have a natural curving spine that squeezes the discs a bit. Now I have to be a bit more careful what I do but I can manage it at the moment.

I've had fun today! I needed drawers on wheels for my soon-to-be office corner. I had to order online. It arrived this afternoon.

I like jigsaw puzzles, but these things, not so much. It didn't take long to assemble and turned out fine, though.

    Well bone Droopske.
Smashing job and it looks smart as well. When will it become functional?

That's great Droops. Nothing like making your home office space more functional.

@Sjoerd I guess I'll have to research high bush blueberries for our region. (Right now I'm recovering from a pneumonia coccal vaccine...I can't believe it's given me a fever, aches, etc). Like Scarlett O'Hara re the blueberries: "I'll think about that tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day". Chuckle.

@Logan, best wishes and fast recovery after your surgery. I've had both eye cataracts and a vitrectomy / laser for detached retina.

Nice bathroom too. Very sharp and modern.

Thank you Daniel I've been seeing floaters since yesterday so going to have it checked at the opticians. It doesn't seem to be getting worse so hopefully it will be alright.

    That looks ideal.

It's great to have an "office." Mine's our box bedroom which is not much more than six feet square.
The shelving has grown and been adapted over the last 20 years to accomodate the changes required.
This is as it is now, I "tacked" a bit on the bottom to take the tuner/amp and bookshelf speakers last year.
I can either listen to the radio or play mp3s on my laptop through it and the jukebox wall box's speakers.
There's LED spotlights under the bottom shelf of the wall unit. I've done my best to hide all the necessary cables.

To save space there's a pull-out shelf below the worksurface for my laptop if I'm using it in that room and another above the filing cabinet for my guillotine, for trimming photos.
