I watched the first episode of series 2 of "Patience" last night on Channel 4, my Virgin 360 box had recorded the first two episodes..
She's 23 years old, introverted, autistic, who works in the police records office, but in the past has been invaluable in helping to solve crimes for her previous female boss who has recently moved to another area. All that must have been in series 1 which I've not seen.
She now has a new boss who doesn't like her and thinks she's only good for fetching cups of coffee. But she's instrumental (as you would expect) in the solving of the murder in the first episode.
I guess I'd put it on the same level of "Heartbeat," but I enjoyed it as it wasn't over violent as are many police dramas these days. I suppose#, as a programe, more of a "bit of fluff," a totally unrealistic situation in a police station. But no matter.
As to be expected, there's the possibility of a side plot of a budding romance involving Patience with a young male forensic laboratory worker.

I've just noticed a Barclaycard advert on TV.
    The on-screen slogan is:-

    MAKE MONEY WORK FOR YOU!

At the bottom of the screen is a strap-line in small thin lettering which says that their interest rate is 24%.
So it's more of a case of your money working for them!

How daft do they think are the public?

Tonight we watch the final episode of 'The Night Manager" Season one. Even though it is ten years old, it was like a new production. It was on the free with public library card account, Kanopy.

The military "fireworks" display in the desert is pretty incredible.

Probably too violent for my taste but I didn't have any nightmares.

An almost James Bond feel except more bad government behavior. Anxious to start Season Two.

I watched the weekly episode of "Ship Happens," they're up to episode number 262.
It's a down to every "nut and bolt" renovation, so not everyone's cup of tea.

It's only been up five hours and has already had more than 38,000 hits
They were dismantling the hydraulic gear of the twin rudders, so they can replace the support framework. Pretty heavy engineering build. This is because the 72ft wooden boat was one of many, originally built for the Royal Navy, for anti-submarine work, with large rudders so that it could be turned quickly. It's been through several owners since then and was converted to a pleasure craft.

I finished binge-watching series 2 of "Patience." Can't be too bad, if I stayed with it.
I just wondered if she wore that ever present back-pack in bed too.
