I'm watching the tennis from Miami. I'm impressed with this 14000 seat tennis arena, which has a lot of luxury seating. It's a temporary structure built inside the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins American Football team. The green seats at the top are beyond the arena at the end of the stadium. There's two huge TV screens in the corners you can just about see which are for the football supporters during the games. Outside the stadium there's a smaller permanent stadium with several thousand seats and 29 other courts, two with a lot of spectator seats

Last night I watched a bit of a series on "U" titled "Art Detectives." It's a bit of fluff much in the same way is, "Death in Paradise." But the name of one of the supporting cast caught my eye. "Larry Lamb." I always thought that was a bit of an unfortunate name, as for elderly readers it could remind them of a forties and fifties BBC radio programme, called "Childrens Hour" in which there was a character called "Larry the Lamb." The stories were read by, "Uncle Mac" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... The actor Larry Lamb had a long career in many TV dramas, mostly as a member of the supporting cast. I'd not heard of him for years. When I read that he was in four episodes of Art Detectives, playing the elderly father of the lead character, I was actually surprised he was still alive! So I looked him up on "Wiki" and was surprised to find he is seven years younger than am I!
Watched a few episodes of - Selling Sunset - Netflix. What a horrible group of people. So mean and nasty. Like high school games and clicks. I kept waiting for them to come to their senses and just be cordial to each other for one day. Reality TV at its worst. But these elite real estate sales people take ridiculousness to a whole other level.
Haven't got Netflix but we have Amazon Prime, we had it to watch the grand tour then Clarksons farm, but haven't watched the recent series. Hubby has restless leg syndrome so he takes his tablets and they make him go to sleep for a few hours so don't get to watch anything.
We're now well into the, "Danica McKeller Season." Lots of "Christmassy" films in which she stars, will be shown (again) on digital channels, probably mostly Hallmark ones. She's made at least a dozen of these with a romantic plot line where the attractive young heroine, gets the guy at the end. A few of these, of course, are "royalty." In total, she's made 111, films, or appeared in episodes of TV dramas. There's one being repeated tonight. "Coming Home for Christmas," on the "Great Christmas" channel. She's made another film, not yet released. The title? "Have We Met This Christmas?" The plot seems much like that of a previous, film featuring a different actress. The problem is, that she's now fifty years of age, but still getting away with these sort of films but for how long? She been in films and had parts in TV dramas for forty years. But for the last fifteen years most have been these, "girl meets boy (or prince), girl loses boy, girl gets boy," I've never really bothered with most, but actually have a favourite that I've watched a few times. "Love at the Christmas Table." Made in 2012. Even then, she was ten years older than her co-star. Here's a clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?... I actually ripped the track off, YouTube by, "Terrie and the Carlas," they aren't really recording artists, the song was just produced for the film. The record player is interesting. Mind you, Maria Carey is 56 and she's still singing this every year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
Tonight on Netflix we watched, "The Noel Diary." It's the usual sort of Christmas romantic drama, but with a mystery element. But a bit above the average. What surprised me was in one scene, this tune came on the radio. It's by an obscure fifties doo-wop group.
Most tv sets have a port for ear phones or a wireless head set or earbuds. You could look into it , check with the tech store near you or online. This way you can watch tv while your DH sleeps.
