Sunny start to a ,hopefully, lovely day. The garden has welcomed a thorough watering ( not too sure to what depth it soaked down to ) and today will be a perfect day for getting many more plants into the ground.

We are still in a cycle of overcast to showers off and on with stiflingly high humidity. 70's at night and high 80's in the day. The grass is getting high but too wet to cut. Nothing is drying out at all. This pattern is expected to continue for 10 more days.

They said no rain until 6pm. I should never have listened !! Wet clothes still hanging on the line. I ran out at the first rumble of thunder and got only 1/2 of my stuff off the line before it came down. Sheets and towels got free softener anyhow.

72°f - 87 high. It rained sometime overnight and I didn't know about it. We got 7/8" and my laundry, still on the line from the rain yesterday, is sopping, dripping wet. Supposed to rain most of the morning. My garden looks like a wet mop !!
