    :smt026 73°f - 82 for the high . :smt026

It's overcast and last night starting around 9pm we had a couple good heavy downpours. Got an inch of rain in the rain gauge. 60% chance of rain for the rest of the day.

    I'm loving this cooler weather !! :sete_056:

Despite saying on the main news forecast on tv this evening about all the rain in the south today...we've had none. Still sunny ,just been out and took this pic while on a mission to find a pair of missing secateurs.....found them:smt026

Oreti hey you were in luck to find your clippers. Mine I keep in my waist carrier fits them perfectly, they are always handy at my side.

You'll be surprised at what I ' misplace ' :whistling: Pac.
I have the habit of resting gardening implements in nearby shrubs/ bushes...even hang them on trees!! Hubs and I have found numerous long lost items during the Winter months when leaf coverage has thinned or completely been shed.......hanging on for dear life looking like a bauble on a Christmas tree!!!:smt044:smt043

Oreti that is funny… I do the same with larger clippers that don’t fit in my waist belt carrier. Even sunglasses years later when dumping out old pots to reuse will be still sitting on the bottom of the pot under soil til they are unearthed again. And of course they are still in one piece. Usually I end up sitting on sunglasses or leaving them is some obscure spot so they don’t get stepped on, or running over them with the mower. Gardener antics should have a thread all of its own.

I wish I had one of those carriers for my saddle. Once when I was on my Quarter horse heading down to fix fence where we had a heard of deer jumping over it every night, I rolled right off my horse and bit the dust !!
I had my pliers in my jacket pocket and as my horse was walking along I tried to extricate those pliers which were stuck in the pocket lining. I was all twisted to one side doing everything possible to free them when my pony nonchalantly hopped over a trickle of water with just enough umph to unseat me.

I laid there LMAO !! :smt082 ( It always tickles me when I fall off.)
Gage, my QH stopped, turned around and stood next to me with one hind leg resting as he gazed off into the distance to watch for predators !! I guess he figured I'd stop laughing and get back on at SOME point !! :smt044:smt044:smt044

I'm getting me one of those. :D

Anniekay Well cowgirl … what a story .. funny .. and it’s always a surprise to be jolted outta the saddle. Glad you weren’t hurt. Gage must have been a mighty fine horse to wait for you . Luv, luv horses. They are the gentle giants of the animal world. Not many understand the relationship and bond between horse and rider. I trusted my horses with my life. They were always there for me and never hesitated to show me the way home when I’d get lost. :sete_050:
