I thought I had posted this here but I can't find it now so here goes...

I found some zinna seeds from a pink large zinnia that got lost under the steps in our basement...I wasn't sure where to plant them so I put them in a container off of the patio with some dark purple calla lilys in the center....to my delight, I ended up with pink zinnias of all shades of pink , white ones, orange ones and yellow ones...

Beautiful flowers and so healthy, what a lovely find.I really like the pink ones.
Zinnias seem to come up in whatever colour they feel like, I wonder if the seeds will produce the same colours next year.

Beautiful! One of the reasons Zinnia's are one of my favorite - they never disappoint :)

The ones I buy already started from the nursery tend to get the mildew on them when I plant them in the ground but these have grown so tall, I hold my breath when we get bad storms and downpours...now today it is suppose to hail.

These are in a container and I did use worm compost in all my containers and flower beds this spring...they have some morning shade and then late in the day shade, I wasn't sure how they would do with the shade.
