We went to Milwaukee Zoo in Wisconsin the week after the fourth of July. I found some interesting flowers that I would like to share with you. They even had the ditch lilys that grow all over Wisconsin.... This one was pretty if you don't notice the green icky water....
Sherry in your first photograph of the butterfly it looks as though the flower beds were also in the shape of a butterfly - am I right? What a lovely idea. I wonder if I could make a smaller version in my own garden? The topiary animals are great but I wouldn't have the patience to keep trimming them I'm afraid. The flower cones are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your photographs with us all.
Eileen I think you are right...I should of studied it closer when I was there. That is a good idea... I wouldn't want anything that has to be trimmed all the time...no patience..
Your fotos give a good idea of the zoo's gardens. Interesting and lovely. Hope you had a great time there.
Those are very pretty arrangements. What are the flowers on the cone? The topiaries are adorable. Must have been a good time. Gardengater
