Happy Thursday morning. 4 day weekend coming up! woohooo! And to make it extra happy... I got 3.75 inches of rain at the house yesterday! :smt026 Amazing how fast it soaked in. There's around 30-40% chance of more rain for the next couple of days. And the temps have been a little lower... lower 90s instead of mid to upper 90s. Now... to get through these next 8 hours...

Good morning all. Still between 95-100 here and no rain. Might have some Friday evening into Saturday morning. But if we get nothing, then it's back to no chances for the next several days.

A friend of my oldest daughter always goes out to Weatherford this time of the year to buy peaches, Parker County peaches are some of the best in the country, she brings us a bushel box of them so I should be getting a call from her in a bit telling me where to meet her. I'll be busy making pies and jam the rest of the week.

Still no rain here, just clouds. Cheryl is still getting it all. It's just hanging around the gulf coast. Sunny and hot here already. No great weekend plans. Went to a yard sale this morning. Found a nice wooden "tater" bin. I had mine in a basket under the table. This will look better, I think. Not that I really care how it looks.

    Have a great holiday weekend!

I think what Cheryl is getting is from the tropical disturbance they have been watching in the Gulf lately. It wasn't expected to strengthen but was to bring rain to the Gulf coast.

It is beautiful day outside but I've been stuck in the house all day. Early this morning I started on the peaches we bought at the farmers market. Finished them before lunch and now I've started on my carrots. I've got them scrubbed and ready to slice but I needed a break. Seems like everything is ready at once.

Going to be another beautiful day here. Currently it is 52 F. with quite a breeze. The hurricane is passing by us with no rain just the wind. Making bread and butter pickles this morning and then some garden clean up this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone and enjoy your moments!

Happy Friday morning. No work today, but will be having lunch with a couple of friends for one of their birthdays. And we'll be meeting close to the office. Oh well... still have to make the drive, but did get to sleep in a little. :D
Looks to be a pretty day, even though temps will be in the mid 90s. Slight chance of rain.
I should be able to get started mowing this afternoon.

Good afternoon all. I had hoped to spend the day making peach jam but errands took over more of the day than expected. And with our oldest daughter out of town, youngest grandson staying with a friend, we are picking up the oldest grandson later and take him to Ojeda's for supper.
Maybe tomorrow will be a jamming day.

Good Morning! I had to go to the 'big town' 60 miles away yesterday on business but also managed to go to a couple of nurseries. It was too hot to linger so I headed back up to my mountain where it's cooler. I hope everyone has a great day today!

Happy Saturday morning. Don't get mad at me Toni and Dooley... but I got just over 2" of rain overnight! The grass and weeds have really sprung up. Hopefully it'll be dry enough to mow this afternoon. Good time to pull weeds with the ground being wet. But first... need to take my aunt to do her shopping.
