Good Morning Friends....Your breakfast sounds great Capt Kirk. Just had me some cereal/fruit and coffee this morning (I know what cheese grits are) . Had to wait till I cooled down. Broken record here--HOT and muggy. Heard the weatherman say the index could be 105 today.

Good morning all.

Eileen, so glad you got rain.

Capt.- cheese grits are gooooood eatin' Have you tried them fried in butter and covered with syrup?

Yesterday was #18 with 100+ temps, today will be #19
The worst part is the "feels like" temps are supposed to hover in the 115-120 range for the next several days. And it appears our only chance of rain in the foreseeable future is IF a good sized hurricane comes ashore just below Houston and is strong enough to send rain and storms this far inland.....sounds pretty hopeless.

Morning you all -- on this 3d day of Aug. Sitting here checking my e-mail and "stew" with my second cup of coffee. Listening to the news and it's another hot muggy day ---98 and heat index 108. Looks like a day to find a cool spot and something cool to drink. Watch that Gnome brew Frank
Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good August 3rd y'all.
My grandsons are coming over to spend the day while their Mom gets her classroom ready for the new school year. All they are interested in is playing video games in Aunt Amanda's room so I won't be seeing much of them until they are hungry. But it is fun having them around.
