Top herbs for a summer hanging baskets.
Category: Plant lists | Posted: Wed Jan 04, 2006 1:38 am 1.) Basil - try lemon, lime, Thai and sweet varieties. (not hardy.) 2.) Chervil. 3.) Chives. 4.) Coriander (not hardy.) 5.) Dill - fern leaf variety. 6.) Garlic chives. 7.) Lemon balm (wonderful scent too when you rub the leaves - like lemon sherbert!!) 8.) Mint - try apple, pineapple or ginger varieties. 9.) Nasturtiums (not exactly a herb but has great tasting leaves and flowers - lovely in salads.) 10.) Oregano. 11.) Parsley - flat leaved varieties have more flavour. 12.) Rosemary (plant in centre and move when too large.) 13.) Sage - variagated. 14.) Tarragon. 15.) Thyme - try common and lemon varieties. This blog entry has been viewed 50 times
