Dafodils Sprouting
Category: Life in Western PA | Posted: Sun Mar 11, 2007 2:58 am The snow finally melted off today. My daffodils are sprouted....I was like a little kid when I seen them, now I know Spring in on the way. Bought some more seeds today, Cauliflower and brocoli some some Marigods seeds. Getting really anxious to get them started, but will wait a few more weeks. I also finally decided where to make my new raised vegetable garden. Will add photos when I get it started, making the frame for it out of some used bricks from a old water cistern, that my brother and boyfriend redid. (I knew they would be useful for something...LOL) and they thought I was crazy when I asked them to save them for me...HAHA Also did some cleaning around my little backyard pond and seen some tadpoles swimming around, didn't notice the fish yet, but still kinda cloudy. I hope they survived the winter, it was a first for them.... This blog entry has been viewed 458 times

I am so glad you have seen your first signs of spring. It is a great feeling.
I was so excited when my daffys pop up but I have things coming out all over the place now.I can't wait to see your brick raised bed.
Ah tadpoles, that's something I haven't seen in ages. Memories of youth for sure.
Glad you're seeing signs of spring. Feels good, doesn't it? As those tadpoles grow into toads and start calling for mates, will you love that sound? Most folks do not. Sounds like an electric motor about to burn out. Login or register to leave a comment. |
