There are a few things you can do with these jugs. 1. Winter sow with them here's a link. http://wintersown.org/ Here's a pick of what i used them for. Had a late frost come up and i just cut the bottom off ,took the lid off and placed them over my veggie babies. And when the season is over just take a rope and run it through the handles and hang them in either your garage or carport
What a great idea to not only keep your plants frost free but to also deter critters from eating the young plants!!!
The old lady across the street tells me she places filled jugs next to her young trees to keep the dogs from peeing on them Is she pulling my leg? Has anyone else heard of this or has the old bird flipped her lid??? Deanna :-D
Deanna, I have never heard that. I would think that the dogs would pee on the milk jugs as well. Maybe 'she's an ounce short of a gallon'.
