The Hollyhocks are not fareing well after the 10 inch rain on Monday. You can see them behind the Malvas. Any ideas?

As long as the soil drains I'd just leave them be. They'll perk up once the sun comes out again. Ours are a sorry sight too after heavy rains, but they always spring back.

I agree! :p You wanna talk about hollyhocks?? Capt Kirk sent me some seeds 2 summers ago and they are MONSTERS!!! The biggest hollyhocks in my yard!! I'm an idiot when it comes to posting pictures, otherwise I'd be glad to post a photo to show them off. One is probably 4 feet tall and hasn't even sent up the bloom stalk yet! Just leaves! Big, beautiful, healthy looking leaves, almost as tall as I am!!!

Me too, db, me too. :D You both look smashing, stratsmom, but the "plant" to the left looks a bit cuddlier than then one to the right. ;)

WOW, that Oregon weather must really agree with them. They never got that big and bushy here. Be sure to take some pics when they bloom!
