The swans cruise along the gardens every day.
Here's a Springtime film taken when the cygnets were still quite young.
You can notice how agressively protective one of the parents is. I just ignore him and keep filming. One musn't be intimidated by animals. I say that because I have a film that my bride was taking and the parent came at her, and instead of standing her ground, she bolted and the swan gave chase. :D
    Sorry partner....
She didn't find it at all funny at the time, but I did. Needless to say, I contained my chuckling ;)
After all having an angry swan coming at you is one thing, but a mate that is as mad as a wet hen is an entirely different kettle of fish.

Just klik on the image start the filmpje.

What a delightful little film Sjoerd!! I wouldn't like to have been chased by an adult though as I know just how aggressive swans can be when they have cygnets.

what beauties! i love swans but i wouldnt want to get too close to them especially when they have theyre cygnets there, one of them looked like he was either rearranging his nest or checking out bedding material to take to his nest. thank you for sharing this lovely video

Hiyah Playtime, Actually that wasn't a nest it was bamboo canes that came from the big plant in the northwest corner of the flower garden. I stored them there inbetweeen the bean rack and the sloot (canal)--pronounced as, "slow-t". I
do not know if the bird was pecking around to find food or trying to spook me.
He was literally about 2 feet away from my feet.

Lovely film, Sjoerd! Those cygnets are so sweet. :D We were chased by mom and dad swan in Denmark last year. They obviously felt we had nothing to do on that beach. :D

It's very simple, Sherry. You just upl;oad it once you have the Photobucket open.
Simply navigate to where your videos are on your computer...and upoload. It does take awhile, though. Be forewarned, so that you don't give up. Patience is the key word here. heh heh heh.
    Looking foreward to seeing them.
