A brighter place now....

Category: Tatouage/ rub on transfers | Posted: Thu Mar 03, 2011 8:31 pm

I have my sewing room/ironing room downstairs at my home. I wanted something to make it fun and to use the things I like. Of course that included birds and flowers.

I started this project over a year ago and decided to make a few changes to it...I found the wooden birds at a street fair in Waupaca, wi....In fact I had the birds first and then decided to incorporate a scene with them.

Tatouage is a rub on transfer and you can buy different scenes or murals. I thought about what I wanted on the wall and decided to add the birdhouses and branch...this was my result. I added the tatouage flowers separately too.

Now when I go downstairs to my room to work...I get to see a little whimsy of things I love. In fact there isn't any time that I go down there that it doesn't bring a smile to my face.

I love what you've done Sherry as it makes the room having an outdoor feel - even although it's inside. It's so bright and cheery and must be a real pleasure to work in.
If and when I get around to re-doing my craft room I'd really like to do something similar to what you have done.

Sherry this is so cool! I can hear the tweeting just by looking at it. Very crafty.

Thank you for the kind remarks...ironing is not my favorite thing to do but this makes it better with having something to enjoy looking at.

Sherry--that is just beautiful. I have never seen anything quite like it. I can see why it makes you cheerful to go down there.
You always have such lovely birds to show...the ones that visit your yard, I mean...and these that you have featured look like them. it was an inspirational idea to add the plants down low as well.

The wooden birds and birdhouses are a really nice touch. It is all so unique.

Well done, you!
