Getting the House Clean to Show
It's funny how cleaning up and taking anything you haven't used in 2 years to Goodwill not only makes a house "show ready", but makes us fall in love with our current home all over again. We are having "neighbor issues" which is why we're considering a move.
The homes for sale in our area have been pretty uninteresting, outdated, or very poorly renovated. At this point we've fixed just about any problem we can find, and can spot a poor renovation job quite easily. All have been quite a downgrade from our current place and not financially wise. Looks like we might have to stay and hope for the best.
In the meantime, we're really enjoying our fresh looking home. It looks so much bigger inside with all the junk gone!

PL--I am so sorry that you are having neighbor problems. Too bad they won't move away!
I'm am in the process of trying to de-clutter my home too. The only problem is Hubby has been home and so has my eldest and so things get removed from the pile! I will have to wait a few weeks when they both get busy with their jobs again. I feel for you having 'neighbor issues' as that is how we ended up here. It worked out for the best, but it took us years to find a house we would move to. Enjoy your de-cluttered house Pianolady, and trust that things will all work out.
That is sad that that is the reason you are thinking of moving. So glad we have good neighbors. YES a decluttered home does feel much bigger and brighter. Hope all goes well.
