I cleaned but where? The other day I needed my social security card and couldn't find it. But I knew it had to be here. So I started looking and it was like the needle in the haystack. I first looked in my wallet, in all those little pockets you stick things into, but no card. Next my little three drawer chest for putting ?little things into. The drawers were stuffed with things that didn't belong so I cleaned them all out. Did I find the card? No but the drawers are only half full now. Then on to the top drawer in my dresser. It has three sections and I cleaned them all. No card--but wait-- there it was , up against the front where I hadn't been able to see it. I don't know how it got there. At the end I had a large bag of trash but looking back I couldn't see where I had done anything. With the drawers closed you couldn't see that I had done anything. I guess the morale of this story is don't throw stuff in drawers! wannabe This blog entry has been viewed 417 times

dr is cleaning things and tossing things and packing boxes. He's getting ready to move to the new place and it's not even there yet. You could come and help him if you run out of things to clean. dooley
One never knows what junk they have collected until clean-up time. It's never less than you expect.
Chuckle...what a story.
Our social security card is obtained from our social service department when we get our first job or sometimes before. Money is taken from each of our paychecks and put in a fund. When we reach a certain age we can apply to get a money pension. It is very important to have and not lose. wannabe
Our Social Security Card is the closest thing we have to a National ID and it is very important to protect the SS number to avoid Identity Fraud. That is why you should never keep it in your wallet. Lose your wallet and you can lose your credit rating. Always keep it in a place where you know it is safe but never in your wallet.
wannabe, I have been cleaning too in preparation for our new granddaughter. Where does it all come from? I am glad you found your SS card.
I found things that I forgot I had. I guess I really didn't need it.
Sounds like me. I do stuff like that all the time. The reward is roomy drawers to put more stuff I don't know what to do with in. Login or register to leave a comment. |
