this is a beautiful wild rose that grows in our country hedgerows we have one rooted in our garden and has been affected (i have just found out ) by dog rose pea gall the larvae of a small wasp is inside the gall. We did not plant this rose it has come from seeds depositd either by the wind or birds it is hardy and grows profusely ours is in a sunny aspect in poor soil
