This plant may be difficult to establish, but once established it behaves as it likes and spreads out with underground roots. The long, thin trailing branches are covered in red blooms, and it's perfect up against a wall or on thuja or other evergreen bushes or trees. The entire plant disappears in autumn, and pops up at the most unexpected places come spring. The dark blue berries are a lovely bonus.
