Don't water this plant too much but don't forget about it either. Although a very undemanding plant it does demand to be watered properly.

This easy to care for plant loves lots of direct sun. Indirect sunlight leads to wide spread "leaves" and causes an undesirable appearance. Starting a new plant is simple. Take a leaf/nodule and place it on soil or on the window sill and new sprouts will soon follow. I have had my best results with a steady fertilizer regiment by adding fertilizer stakes once a month and fertilizing with a basic generic houseplant fertilizer once a month. Plant seems to reduce the amount of soil in the pot at a fast pace so adding soil may be occasionally required.

The stinging hairs on the stem and leaves contain formic acid and cause itching and burning.
Some people eat nettle - cooking destroys the acid.
