Verbascum/Mullein doesn't do well in loamy rich soil. The leaves and stalks will flop like rabbit's ears - limp.

This plant grows wild on our farm in western NY state. Very pretty in its meadow location. Pretty in a meadow, but not a refined look.

Wildflower, likes partial shade and moist soil. Attractive plant, late bloomer, when not much else is blooming.

Great plant for shady location. Does not seem to be bothered by deer or rodents. Attractive foliage when plant is not in bloom.

Interesting plant. Seeds are encased in round flat discs. When outside membrane is peeled away, the remainig membrane is bright white, very pretty, hense the name 'money plant'.

Watch out for this one, it is pretty aggressive.....

Foliage makes a nice show in the garden with its spotted leaves. Unfortunately it self sows readily and can be invasive as a result. Difficult to pull out.

Self-sows readily, but as Droopy says, it is easy to pull out. Has a very delicate look in the garden.

This geranium will self-sow, but is not invasive. I have white geraniums that have appeared from a pink parent plant. It is easy to transplant, the root is almost tuber-like, and easily dug up to transplant. After flowering in June or July, the foliage gets a little ratty, and flops. It responds to being sheared back, and sometimes will re-bloom. I recommend this plant. I grow it more for its appealing rounded form than for its flowers, (although they are pretty too).
