The first year I had this plant it did not do well because it was in full sun. It has thrived since I moved it to partial shade(it gets approximately 5-6 hours of morning sun. This year in zone 7a it will bloom continuously from late May until the first frost.

Double Knock out roses are low maintenance, lightly scented, drought tolerant and black spot resistant. I love using them in flower arrangements.

I think that this is C. subulata (usually called C. rigidus in nurseries unfortunately). The real C.rigidus has broader leaves with a stiff, raised margin

Reported to retain deep green color during winter cold and wind without bronzing.

Very old fashioned plant for my region that blooms very early (March, April). The large leaves turn bronze in the winter. Likes moist, well drained soil in shade or semi shade.

Not to be confused with Pencil Plant (sometimes called Pencil Cactus but is not a cactus) the Pencil Plant is Euphorbia tirucalli and grows upright.

This is my first season with this colocassia. I will know more about its habits and needs next year. The leaves have been large - about 3 feet long. This year it was potted, next spring I hope to get it in the ground in its permanent location. I'll post more as I learn more. My current photos are too large to upload, so, again, next season I'll take photos that will be a smaller file size so I can upload.

Be sure of the identification before eating. Menispermum canadense Canadian Moonseed looks remarkably similar to Fox Grape but is poison when ingested in quantity.

Flowers on old wood. When used as house plants prefers cooler temperatures to prevent tendency toward spider mites.

That is so pretty, and such a nice orangy color, the seed pod is neat looking too.
