I'm so glad I found this site. I didn't do any gardening (flower) this summer as I had back surgery. I am looking forward to maybe doing some fall planting and next spring. I am really more into crafts of all kinds (love the totems and have my glass collected ~ just need to start gluing). I am a retired, widow lady that share my home with Lexi a 4 year old poodle. The love of my life! I have two grown children, but Lexi pays more attention to me than they do! ha~ha I am anxious to meet new people and get new ideas from this forum. Bye for now ... ya'll hear! Kuntrygal
Hello Kuntrygal and a really warm welcome to our forums. We love 'crafty' people here and so you'll feel right at home with us I'm sure. :-D I'm from Scotland and now that the nights are drawing in I'll be spending more time indoors making Christmas cards instead of gardening. Do let us see a photograph of little Lexi and we do sooo love animal piccies.
Hi Kuntrygal and a big welcome to GardenStew. Judging by your interests you will fit right in here Have you seen the glass totems here: www.gardenstew.com/about2020.html Don't miss our blogs, member map and calendar. // Frank
Welcome kuntrygal! I think you'll find that the Stew is a great place to hang out and share thoughts and ideas about crafting, gardening . . . . . . well, darned near anything.
Hi Kuntrygal, welcome to the stew from north Texas. Did you get the wonderful cool temps today? I have been in the garden for the first time since mid-June and have soooo much to do to catch up. Glad you joined us
hi kuntrygal, glad to see you introduced yourself. My next question was, have you started your totem yet, but you answered it for me. Can't wait to see pictures of the totem and Lexi.
Good morning, Kuntrygal, and a warm welcome from cold and very wet Norway. Hope you'll feel at home in no time.
Since I am new, I am not real sure how to navigate around in order to answer a post. But if this is correct, yes we have much cooler and dryer weather this morning, thank goodness. You hit the jackpot with the finds your daughter gave you. I am jealous! What part of N. Texas do you reside? As far as posting pics, I don't know how!. Maybe I will learn so I can post my creations!
I am in Carrollton, northwest corner of Dallas County Yep, my daughter did give me some neat stuff. Now that it is cooler I am hoping to get started on the wishing well with those bricks. I haven't tried making glass totems but I did make a coffee cup totem for my garden. http://www.gardenstew.com/about4020.html
I use to live in Carrollton, then Coppell, Plano and Little Elm and finally to Lufkin. DD still lives in Dallas and is a DNA Forensic Biologist for the county. We may have been neighbors
Hello from way up in the Northwest! I love mucking about with making stuff too, nothing worth showing but I love to see what other people come up with.
Hello Kuntrygal from a central Texas gal.Glad you found us. My sister-in-laws sister is an asst.DA in Dallas(Terry Moore). I have put together 2 glass totems so for and I'm working on another one now.I enjoy all kinds of stuff.
I like to 'putter' around with different crafts. Think I must have ADD, 'cause I go from one to the other! Like I said in a previous post, I have all my glass and glue... don't know what I am waiting for! Question... how do you go about putting little pictures with your name (to the left of your message) and how did you do your glitter? I feel like such a dummy having to ask all these questions? Hope you don't mind. Kuntrygal
