I used to do aquaponic which is the same as hydroponic except the solution comes from aquaculture. I had to give it up because of space constrain after we downsized our home. Everything grow so well and is like kind of a problem free. I am just wandering do you mix your own solution or you got the ready mix form the store? Every time I read about your hydroponic post makes me want to start aquaponic again or try hydroponic.
Thank you KK Ng....I mix my own. That part i am afraid of because I don't want to ruin the seedlings before they can handle it. When they really start going, then it's not so bad, pretty much problem free as you said. I love watching them grow and fast. Grow right ahead and start again...what I'm finding out is that they don't take up much space at all depending on your container...and as you've seen, I use different containers. These will go in 2 liter coke bottles (just the kale- the larger ones). Can't wait to see what and how you do it.
I don't think I can do hydroponics here. I just did a quick check and it is impossible to get the chemicals here, premixed or individual components. The nearest place is more than a 100 miles away and they are costly so I guess it is not for me at the moment, maybe I'll try setting up another aquaponic here

This is the second round of lettuce as of 3/9/18..yes, Cheliscott, I also ordered more lettuces (really different).
