|
Hello,
A friend of mine just told me that she ignored her strawberry patch for a while and when she returned it was over run by mushrooms. She doesn't have any idea if these are poisonous mushrooms, and if they were, what that would do to the strawberries growing among them.
Any advice for her?

If you could obtain some photogarphs of the 'mushrooms' then maybe we could help ID them as either harmless or toxic for your friend.

The mushrooms, even if the poisonous type, will have no ill effect on the strawberries.
The mushroom is one of the best decomposeres of organic material.
Odds are the spores blew in from somewhere.
Or in the case I had one year out of the straw I used to bed my potatoes.
A pic of the top and the gills/underside would be helpful with a location of where they're growing.
I'll do my best to help ID them. Got a ton of books with pics here so I might e able to help.
