Happy Sunday morning. It looks drizzly outside, but is supposed to be warmer. The wedding was awesome. Now going downstairs to breakfast with sister, brother and a couple of friends. Then take sister to airport and then home for some quiet time
    :)

We had about a quarter of an inch of rain last night. It's just cloudy and about 40 right now. Maybe rain on Tuesday. We are off to Wisconsin on the 24th and the forecast says we may start off with rain. We have to drive to Hawkins, Texas and leave our truck with a friend. Then, we are taking a train to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where our son will pick us up. Back on the 5th of December. We bought a small laptop and if I can figure it out maybe I will be able to keep in touch.

Good afternoon all. Beautiful day here today, the sun is hidden by a very thick overcast, off and on drizzle happening, 40 deg with a north wind around 15 MPH. Temp is beginning to slowly drop, should be around 27 by daybreak tomorrow. I LOVE winter weather, just wish we would get some real rain.

Dooley, that trip sounds like fun. I have only ridden the train once about 25 years ago from Dallas to spend a few days in Houston with an Aunt, it was very relaxing.

Toni, we haven't rode the train in a few years but we used to ride it from the Midwest to the east coast one year and the next year to the west coast. My family lived on the west coast and dr's family lived on the east coast. The boys got to know the country along the train route fairly well. We got an economy sleeper for the trip up there.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 0°C and snowing. It is starting to look white out there! I was out in Hubby's shed looking for the snow shovel. It took me a while, but I finally found it in the back corner behind all the other stuff. I had to climb over a lot of junk to get it. YOu would think when putting away lawn equipment for the winter one would bring OUT the snow shovels! Grrr! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. I got about 1.5 inches of rain on Saturday/Sunday. Today started off in the upper 20s and we may make it to 50F. That darn wind just makes it downright cold!

Cheryl, the weather is just getting us prepared for our Thanksgiving trip to Wisconsin. The change won't be so drastic if we are having cooler weather here now.

Good morning all. We have not had any rain with the cold front . We did have drizzle most of yesterday and that dusting of snow last night but that was gone by midnight because the dry wind was evaporating it so quickly.

Didn't get as cold last night as predicted, Sunny and warming up already this morning. Will be back close to 70 next weekend. :'(

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -7°C and feeling like -17°C. The sun is shining but I can see the snow cloud approaching in the near distance. Not feeling very ambitious today, I hope I find some ambition at the bottom of this coffee! Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Had our first frost this morning. Pretty light, but frost still the same.
Temps should get up to the lower 50s today. Lots of sunshine.
I believe we'll start up our warming trend tomorrow and get back to the 70s by the weekend.

Good morning! We had frost, too and a freeze. We didn't empty the rain gauge yesterday and the water in it was frozen this morning. Thermometer said mid 20's when we got up. Nothing like the -3 wind chill that our son said they had in Wisconsin yesterday. I'll add another sweatshirt to my suitcase.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -8°C and sunny. It is the calm after the storm. We had a WILD night last night, gale force winds and snow, which left huge drifts of snow. The roads haven't been plowed yet and so the kids get a snow day. Snow in the forecast again this afternoon so I'd best be getting things shoveled out. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Heavier frost this morning, can tell there was so killing off of leaves because of it. But, we'll be warming up to the lower 60s today and back in the 70s by the weekend.

Good afternoon all. Temp is rising to gardening level for me and boy do I have a lot of annuals to pull up. All the Cosmos and Jewels of Opar are dead but with all the seed they produce I have no doubt they will be dominating the garden again next year.

We are supposed to get rain this weekend, not a drought breaker (that would take almost 20 inches) but at least something to make the ground soggy and perennials happy.

Good morning all! Our internet connection was down since 4PM yesterday so I was restless all of that time. It's back up now and hope it stays up!
    Have a great day all!
