Back to the birds, a female.

This is a juvenile female, Red-winged Blackbird. Not always the one the captures the photographers eye, but this one looked rather special.

Those markings must make the youngster almost invisible to the naked eye when it's perched in a tree or bush. Ideal for keeping itself hidden from preditors.

I'm trying to find somewhere that I can post a question to you officianados! I'll try here although I'm not confident. Has anyone tried using honey to make sugar-water for the hummingbirds? My mom just passed away but she bought 10 lbs of honey before doing so. I can't think of anything to do with it except maybe feed the birds. Anyone try it before?
Thanks!
Sweetie
