Bird for Friday

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Fri May 29, 2009 4:35 am

How about a small bird, a bewick's wren. They did nest in the back garden last year. Still a regular visitor. It walked, I mean walked, into the house once when I went onto the deck.

I like wrens. They're so tiny and tolerant of their people. Imagine it walked into the house, that's so funny.

Wrens are our most common bird here in the UK yet we rarely see them. I do have some that are regular visitors to my garden but they are soooo hard to photograph.
I love the picture of yours Kildale. Did it take long to get a shot as clear as that?

I thought of you the other day as I feasted my eyes on the frolicking of two cardinals (looked like they might have been a pair) in the front yard. Birds are fascinating. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos (and your adorable little feathered friends).
