Thank you all for the messages about the Nuthatch. I had 10 different birds today, one new comer and one that calls 2 or 3 a year. The waxwing was a first. The white crowned sparrow calls now and then, the crossbills come most days.

A large group of waxwings hung about this area for a while earlier this year. Sadly I never caught up with them to take their photograph.
Love the colours on the sparrows head - reminds me of a badger. How I'd love to have crossbills visiting every day!!
