Woe is Me!

Category: Life in General | Posted: Sun Dec 29, 2019 4:03 am

I just lost my job yesterday... I have been there almost 10 years and they just decided they do not need a customer service department anymore. This is probably the push I needed to finally get away from that place and those truly awful people. I am different from everyone there, but I worked hard and didn't complain and I sincerely hope they regret their decision. I don't care if they called me back and offered me twice as much. I will work two jobs before EVER going back to that place, so I am considering this a blessing in disguise! I feel like they are not running their business as they should in other areas so they cut me and another girl who were very loyal and dedicated to possibly stop some of the money hemorrhaging?? Odd though because they didn't pay me or her a living wage. They really just do not care about their employees in general.

Oh yeah, and my 19 year old daughter is pregnant which will make me a grandmother before I'm 40. I am still processing this information... I just wish she had SOMETHING. I had her young, so I tried to tell her to be on her feet before having to take care of someone else, but she did not listen. She will struggle too, but maybe she will have a better support system than I did. At least she didn't get pregnant by the last boyfriend and this one seems to be a more caring and hardworking....not on drugs. I am trying to be very supportive because she needs that and I want her and my grandchild in my life. She is just still immature and bitter about some life experiences, so I also wished she had waited for that reason....to grow up a little and get some of that out of her system. She is strong like the rest of us though and will be just fine. Thanks for listening. Here's to a new year and decade and new beginnings!

Has it really been 2 Years?!

Category: Life in General | Posted: Sun Sep 23, 2018 1:48 am

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I was here last. We have recently and finally moved from the disaster that was our last place of residence into a much nicer home. I hate to sound whimsical, but I swear I feel like this home was what we have been waiting for a really long time and just a wonderful, unrealistic, dream. We are only renting it, but I feel like I could be here forever. The neighborhood is much nicer and quieter. We have a yard! In the city! A FRONT and BACK yard! My son, who has never really been able to play outside at our last house asks to go outside every day. He can go outside without a fear that he will be too near the road. It may not be perfect, but I love it so much. *sigh* Our neighbors seem really nice, and the houses are not on top of each other. It is nice and shady....but it could use some grass or ground cover which I will need some help figuring out.

Our life situation has changed a bit recently as well. We had custody of my betrothed's nieces, but their mom has finally stepped up and taken them back. My daughter graduated high school! I cannot believe I have a daughter old enough to graduate, but she did and then promptly got involved with an idiot boy. I don't want to go into great detail about that just yet, but as of right now, she is not speaking to me, my mother or any of my family and is living with her dad's family. She is the child of my first marriage. Her dad and I split when she was young. It really is sort of too fresh and I will end up spilling by guts here and probably more tears... so that can wait for another time. I am glad to be back here among happy gardeners who can help me get back into the soothing gardening spirit. Although I am not great at it yet, and there have been many plants that perished on my journey, I love to grow things. It is so beautiful to plant something and see it grow!

Do you believe in Psychic Mediums?

Category: Life in General | Posted: Thu Jun 25, 2015 12:05 am

I took a friend of mine to a group session with a Psychic Medium on Monday for her birthday. This was the first time either of us had experienced anything like this. I must say that it was rather enjoyable! The experience always seemed like it would be fun, but I was afraid of being scammed. First of all, this lady was really cool and didn't ask us a bunch of questions about ourselves. In fact, she did not want us to elaborate when she felt a spririt giving her clues as to who they are. She doesn't see them or hear them, but she feels them and they give her pictures as to who they are. She described my stepfather bit by bit and I was comforted to hear that his message for me was that my obstacles I am currently facing will soon be over. There are better things in store for me! I have not taken the time to explain exactly how things are in my home life here, but they aren't ideal to put it mildly.

On another note, we went to Kentucky the weekend before last for a sort of family reunion for my honey's side of the family. We always have a great time when we go there! The scenery is absolutely beautiul! Their homeplace is a sight to behold and we were near a popular state park that we like to visit called Carter Caves. We hiked a little way and came to our favorite cave and took some pictures. The water wasn't flowing as it has been dry there, but it was still just amazing to see it again. We didn't hike the whole trail because we had the children with us and they would not have been able to do it. Who am I kidding? I was having a rough time just the little way down the trail we traveled! The family is wonderfully crazy and so much fun also...so glad we got to go. Looking forward to going again next year and maybe staying a little longer or going over into Ohio where some of the other family lives. Plus, my honey is a true blue Buckeye fan and wants to visit so bad. We shall see what the next year has in store for us...
