Three odd flowers.

Category: The Wildflowers | Posted: Sat Jul 03, 2010 5:26 pm

The first is Harvest Brodiea whose flowers emerge when the leaves have gone. a coastal plant mainly. The secon is a parasitic plant, orobanche grayana, that is also coastal as it grows near gumweed. The white is ocean spray, a usually large shrub with masses of flowers.

Category: The Wildflowers | Posted: Tue May 11, 2010 4:55 am

I had a nice trip last week to a protected wildflower area. It has been logged many years ago, I will add a couple of the forests trees next time. Today I want to show you some of the flowers that call the area home. The first image is that of Chocolate Lily
