I finally have power and some more snow pics

Category: My life | Posted: Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:47 am

The power was off most of the day today, but I had cranked up the heater during the night so it stayed pretty much warm til the power came back on. We had about 18-20 inches of snow all total. It is just lightly snowing now. But by this Thursday it is supposed to be 60 degrees. Anyways, we had a lot of damage around town caused by the wet, heavy snow. My neighbor had a huge tree limb break in her back yard and it was so big, it shook my house when it hit the ground. So I will add some more pics for ya'll.

This is a car that was down the street

Tree limbs blocked most of my street

My poor rose bushes

My neighbors sidewalk

My new roof covered in snow

My poor apple tree

Yuck! That's what it looked like here when we last had lots of snow when the branches still had leaves on them. I'm glad that big limb didn't hit anything.

Yep thats a heavy wet snow. Kind of like here for our fist snow. I just hope it doesn't happen for a few more months.

Gee that's a heck of a lot of snow. That heavy, wet stuff is the worst kind but I'm glad no one was injured by those tree limbs.

My hubby has a cousin there in Montana. To say the least he wasn't very happy with the snow as his garden wasn't finished produceing yet. He tried making a greenhouse around his toms. Hope snow doesn't come here for atleast another few months.

Okay, here I go again but I think the snow is beautiful and wish it was here.
Sorry to hear about the damage, glad your power is back on.

Wow, now that's a sure sign that summer coming to an end. The one good thing about these early snows, they melt away pretty quick. They sure can mess up a tomato patch, or rose bushs. But they make for some nice pictures though.

That white stuff is just beautiful but I just don't like it.I'm cold natured and would freeze to death there.
Thanks for all the pictures.

Yipe that looks wet. Guess I'll stop whining about the early frost that fried my green tomatoes!

I love the cold weather and snow. I sure live in the wrong state to get it though. That is a lot of snow. Glad your power is back on Heather.

They told last night a total of 22 inches fell in a very short length of time .It was 59 there today so lots of it has melted but power is still out in some parts of Billings.
