Two down, One left

Category: Just Stuff | Posted: Wed Jan 31, 2007 9:58 pm

If everything comes in threes I think my luck may be running out. A few weeks ago while taking out my dog I fell. I got tangled up in his leash and slid down the yard on my tummy. I bruised a few things but no major injuries. I have tried to be extra careful since then. But today I was carrying in groceries and hit one of the few icy spots and went over backward. My husband was there but unable to help me. I finally got up and again I have only sore areas, no broken bones or anything. I guess I must have enough "padding" that with all the winter clothes on I was cushioned. But maybe I should stay in the rest of the winter.
My arthritis is getting worse so maybe I should start looking for a warm place to spend the winter. A place where they don't have ice and snow. Oh well time will tell. Wannabe

Ouch, sorry to hear about your minor accidents Wannabe but I'm have to ask why say "one left"? I thought it was just good things that come in threes?

Wanna you may not have been badly injured but it certainly shakes you up to have, not just one fall, but two. Please be careful if you are out and about as we don't want anything else to happen to you.

Wow, time to roll up in front of a woodstove or a heater vent and sleep away the rest of the winter! (inspired by my cat, of course)
So sorry to hear about your bumps and bruises, especially on top of arthritis :( I know Grandmas got way better after we convinced her to move to an apartment w/central heating- from the family homestead with just a woodstove for heat.

Sorry to hear about your falls wannabe. Glad nothing was broken, but I know you must been sore from two falls. Take care.

So glad you are OK wannabe. Please be careful out there. I am prone to fall also, even coming up the steps.

Sorry for your falls but glad you're okay. I think staying inside sounds like a good idea.

Please be careful.I thought I was the only one on here that can't chew gum and walk .Guess not.Do be extra careful.Oh and by the way Texas could use family another couple here .Say maybe Huntsville not much ice or Houston any closer to Galveston and you get much more hurricanes.Madisonville has only a little ice and I know I would love you to move here.:)

Yep, sitting at home in front of the computer or reading sounds like the way you should spend the rest of winter.
Glad you didn't break anything, but even the minor falls make parts of you hurt that you didn't know you had.
Take Care
