Love the soft fuzzy leaves, and the silver colored foliage. Can rot if too wet, needs a good clean up in the spring.

Old fashion plant that seeds itself in disturbed areas. One of the first plants that I grew as a child (loved the soft fuzzy leaves). Is good in cut flower arrangements throughout the summer. Bees and pollinating insects seem to like it.

I love the grey/white fuzzy leaves because they make a bright light spot in the garden. Great foliage contrast. I recently heard about a cultivar 'Helen Von Stein' that is not supposed to bloom. The flowering stalks tend to be gangly, so 'Helen Von Stein' is a good alternative.
