Pepetual basil. Doesn't bloom or set seed. Leaves have a nice fragrance and plant can be wintered over in warm, sunny location in your home. Has upright growth habit with woody stems. Leaves are a little more firm than the annual type of basil.

Fun plant to grow, very stiking in the garden. I grow mine in containers as a focal point. The plant is easy to grow and flower. I collect the seeds for planting the next year.

This plant is extremely east to care for. Just place in a south facing window and sit in a water tray using rain water ideally or soft water.

It has done a fantastic job if catching all of the fruit flies that were constantly around my plant collection. I barely see any now apart from all the dead ones eaten by the plant!

This plant is way more effective than a venus fly trap and much easier to care for. Since the photo below was taken it has put out a whole load of new leaves and is doing very well with minimal care.

A fascinating plant and a real favourite in my collection.

Be aware that just because a plant is sold in garden centers near you that doesn't mean they will live in your area.
This is one I would NOT recommend for areas where even short term drought is a problem, even with watering almost daily from the rain barrel it just turned brown and has become compost.

I just started growing this variety this year. It can grow to 15 ft in good conditions. It has good wind tolerance. Like other bananas, it needs to be fed and watered regularly. I get a new leaf every5-7 days.

There are various cultivars of plumeria with different bloom color, and flower scent, as well as dwarf varieties. There water and soil requirements are similar to adeniums and oleanders(both are related to plumeria) Cuttings need to callus over for at least week before planting. Seed grown plumerias will not be true to seed, so there is a possibility that you can get a new variety of plumeria. They require little water and well drained soil.

I wasn't a fan of zinnias before I grew this cultivar. I was amazed at the various amount of red stripes on some of the flowers. Each one is different and some have more striping than others. One variety is yellow with red stripes and the other is white with red stripes. I've seen so many butterflies flocking to these, and they take the heat really well.

One plant quickly becomes many. Easy to grow in well drained soil. Larger flowers are on long upright stems in whorls blooming from the bottom up. Stems of flower last a month.

The thistle is the national emblem of Scotland. During the reign of Malcolm I, the enemy Normans attempted to sneak up on the sleeping Scots. The Scots awoke when one Norman stepped on a thistle and cursed aloud. The Scots seized their weapons and defeated the Normans. Bull thistle is the spiniest of the thistles. The down of the thistle carries the seeds away on the wind. Many birds, including the Goldfinch, love to use the down as nesting material and they also eat the thistle seeds. The thistle down was once used to stuff upholstery.

Epiphitic jungle cactus from brazil. Can bloom sporadically at anytime of the yr from what I've read but mostly in spring and fall. You do need to water this regularly like a Christmas cactus. Supposed to be slow growing. From what I've also found on it there's room for experimentation with sun and shade, mine gets lot of filtered sun and it's doing great.
