I like this plant too, and have found it to be hardy. My garden does have good drainage, so maybe that is why. I like how it forms a solid block of ferny foliage that never needs staking. The foliage is a good contrast to larger leaved plants. I haven't been able to keep up with deadheading, so I don't know about its ability to keep blooming.

The flower stalks make this plant much taller than "dwarf". Plant may be more between 1 and 2 feet tall, but the flower stalks are up to 5 feet in my beds. Looks great contrasting with beebalm.

This plant grows wild in my fields, and the butterflies go nuts over it. It is very pretty.

Great garden plant. The flowers open and close with the rise and set of the sun. They bloom in late June, early July in my MA garden, it time with the mid-season daylilies. They are great as cut flowers in the vase

My image is of purple milkweed, but I do not know which milkweed it is. It grows wild around here, and attracts loads of butterflies. I like it.

Petunias in the 'Shock Wave' Series come in a spectacular range of colours like bright pink, purple, red and white ... this particular variety is a lovely pale pink.

'Shock Wave' Petunias have a unique mounded spreading habit up to 80 cm across. The flowers in this series are rather petite.

Requires high humidity levels. Avoid too much moisture as it can cause crown rot, and low humidity causes leaf dieback.

Strobilanthes does flower, around the time it's going into a semi-dormant state. I rather like the lovely purple blooms.

Nice evergreen with dwarf varieties that can provide structure for the winter garden. Even larger varieties are easily kept small or shaped to fit your location.
