For performance, I give it four stars, but I think the flowers are kind of ugly. It has never had black spot, powdery mildew, or a pest problem. It flowers earlier than most of my other roses, often has blooms into November (not that it's the only rose in my garden that blooms in November), and flowers continuously through the summer. The bush rarely needs trimming and is a pleasant round shape. The only flaw I find with it is its ugly blooms.

Has to be the easiest houseplant to grow. Grows in water or dirty or a mix of both. I grow my with no drainage and they survive well. If you tend to drowned plants it is not possible with this plant. Leaf size seems to be determined by the amount of sunlight the plant recieves. If you want smaller leaves place the plant farther away from light sources and no fertilizers.

This came as a seedling in with a nursery grown potted plant. It is both a house plant and a native of the southern United States growing as far north as Missouri. As a house plant it is doing surprisingly well even though it is an extremely delicate looking plant.
It will go dormant if there is inadequate moisture.

It uproots itself VERY readily. When it rains, I have to bail out its pot with a measuring cup and put the plant (which is invariably floating around in its pot with the roots out of the soil and the rest of the plant completely underwater) back in the soil. Then I moved it into a raised bed, which didn't get flooded as often, and it still uprooted itself. And the prickles go right through gardening gloves. I would list this as making the top ten worst plants I have ever grown. Its one redeeming factor is that the "chicks" are kind of cute. Thankfully, I don't have it anymore.

This one is a cutie, and the leaves are soft and rounded. I have this in a container, it waits the winter in the garage. I may plant it in the ground when it wakes up this year.

This Hosta can stand the sun, so it is appropriate in more than just a shade garden setting.

Also one of my favs for a trellis! It loves our zone 5 summer heat, and just keeps on blooming. I put Moss Rose at the base of the container for even more color.

Bacopa is a great filler plant for containers. It mixes well with any color combination. Very heat resistant, and can be trimmed back to keep full and produce more flowers.

I use Persian Shield in containers. It looks good with a variety of color combinations. It has nice height, and pretty purple foliage that can stand my hot summer weather.
