Local Blue Heron

The pond accross the street from us has been the home to a blue heron for quite some time now. We've just recently gotton some pictures of him.

The first is a bit blurry . .

Raccoon Family

My boyfriend's folks live next door, and since they have a number of outdoor cats, they set traps to catch unwanted food thieves. They caught a raccoon, pulled it out of the barn, and returned a short while after to this sight.



Seems she was a mother . .





But no worries, they made sure to catch them all, gave them all a healthy snack of cat food, drove them out of town and released them.

Spider Babysitting

I captured a spider, and rather than kill it right away, I wanted to get a photo of it, so I could look it up. (for the sake of knowing what kind of spiders are running around our house) I left to get my camera, and returned to this sight.

Snake!!

I walked out the door the other day to see this little critter scurry accross the walk. Rather than shriek and run away, I instantly thought, 'I've gotta get my camera!'




(I should have made the pic smaller, but it was such a clear pic)
