Ramalina menziesii, Fishnet lichen.

Category: My wildlife images | Posted: Sat Nov 16, 2013 5:34 am

This is one of those lichens that hangs from the trees. Ramalina menziesii, the Fishnet lichen. There are several of this type of lichen. I'm trying to mix the lichens up a little.

Sorry to say that this isn't one of my favourites. It always looks so straggly and I feel I should tidy it up.

You are always so interesting. You have exposed me to so many things I never knew existed. Thanks

I didn't realize there were different types of this or that it was a lichen. I always thought of it as a moss. This lichen is always what made me feel like I was really in the rainforest here in the Pacific Northwest
