Letharia vulpina, Wolf lichen.

This one grows on the bark of trees on the trunk etc. It isn't like those that cover everything like the beard lichens do. Its a nice green color also.

I like the shade of green this lichen is but I wonder how it got its name of Wolf lichen.

The name refers to foxes actually, not wolves. It was used as a poison for wolves and foxes. Hence I guess the name Wolf Lichen. The yellow pigment in the yellow/green color is poisonous.
