this is a beautiful wild rose that grows in our country hedgerows we have one rooted in our garden and has been affected (i have just found out ) by dog rose pea gall the larvae of a small wasp is inside the gall. We did not plant this rose it has come from seeds depositd either by the wind or birds it is hardy and grows profusely ours is in a sunny aspect in poor soil

I have six of these in my front garden bed....LOVE them. They dance in the winds and I see hummingbirds daily. In the fall I cut them back nearly to the ground so they come back full and not leggy.

A very stately perennial that looks like Gypsophila but a lot larger. The flowers float like a white cloud above the big, shiny foliage. A good substitute for Gunnera, since it's hardier and easier to grow. The butterfly larvae can chew the leaves down to the veins some years.

This South-African little shrub has aromatic, evergreen foliage that our cats like to rub against and chew on. It's considered a collector's delight and is reportedly rare. It has self-seeded in our rock garden.
