Don't manage to get many photos of swallows, they never appear to stop flying. Well I managed to see one resting.

American Robin

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Sun Jun 07, 2009 5:55 pm

A little bigger than the one in Europe, Maybe not as cute though, the American Robin. I thought I should put one in as it is a sign of spring in some parts.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Sun Jun 07, 2009 4:15 am

Thank you all for following the birds, I appreciate your messages. Another one for you to see. The Red-winged Blackbird. A female though so don't be looking for the red wing bars.

Using a pine cone.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Tue Jun 02, 2009 4:30 pm

I hang a pine cone from the eaves with a suet mix pushed into it. Hanging it near a window I take a few pictures when the different birds arrive to feed.

The Ducks have left.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Mon Jun 01, 2009 4:16 pm

The ducks that come here for the winter have mainly left now for the prairies and the nesting season. I took a few shots of the many species that were here. This is one of them, the male golden-eye.
