My world with Nature.

Photographs, and a few words about the birds that visit the garden and those that I manage to see.

A different water bird.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Wed Jan 06, 2010 9:57 pm

Not like the others shown here but definately a water bird always in on the water. American dipper. Goes under the water for bugs, swims under water and rest close to the water. Took a few shots of one today.

A new visitor.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Mon Sep 28, 2009 9:35 pm

Thank you all for the messages about the Nuthatch. I had 10 different birds today, one new comer and one that calls 2 or 3 a year. The waxwing was a first. The white crowned sparrow calls now and then, the crossbills come most days.

Coopers Hawk.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Thu Aug 20, 2009 5:03 pm

It amazes me how hawks get to used to garden structures like these. The male or female stay a while on this one while they wait for anything to move. Now the pileated comes here too.
